Ever since the salted egg potato chips craze started in the Philippines I have always been enamored with it. I am always on the look out to get the tastiest brands that are also affordable and easily available. Most salted egg chips are home made that can be ordered online and a tad too pricey for snacks.
Lucky me, I found a recipe through a friend where I can remake the crispy goodness right in the comforts of my own home. I can just make the salted egg batter through the salted egg yolk mixed with butter in low fire. Add the bag of chips preferably the thin salted chips available in groceries (I used the Oishi Plain Salted) and pour it in the pan. Cook it together in very low fire until the chips are coated by the salted egg batter. The results were crispy chips comparable to those available in the market. I added a sprinkle of sugar to add a sweet contrast and I am planning to add chili flakes next to give it a spicy kick.

I always try recipes shared in social media and I am not always getting the same results. But this is really one for the books. (for the Blog in this case :)
